AMAZING It’s not often I take the time to write a review but this is one that is well deserved. They were a recommendation and they did not fail to deliver an unforgettable experience. I got in touch with Peter, gave him my dates and entrusted him to sort out everything. I had an idea on places I wanted to stay but let him suggest options that hadn’t even come across my radar. When I queried it and researched the places and the itinerary for myself I realised that these guys knew what they were doing and went with the flow. He explained the entire itinerary, broke it down for me with an itemised quote allowing me to make independent reservations or amendments. To be honest I left it entirely to his discretion. He was prompt at communicating, arrived on time to pick us up, gave me specific instructions to follow, things to bring and what to expect. Nothing was left to chance or anything unanswered. We stayed at KAREN GABLES in NBO, MARA BUSH CAMP & ENTIM. All very unique properties and great food & service. Then the safari ... 5 days of amazing landscape and animals. Peter was a great guide, good conversation planned the entire days game drives took care of breakfast, lunch and dietary requirements for the days drive. He spotted stuff before they even happened and we experienced the activity as it unfolded before others had even arrived. He didn’t rely on radio calls from others as normally you’d arrive after the action and be surrounded by others. He was flexible and patient with knowledge on the park and it’s animals. Can’t wait to go back and could recommend him enough.

Unbelievable! Our group of four friends just completed a three week safari with Peter Muigai of Friends on Safari. I cannot adequately express what a wonderful trip we had. Peter organized everything and I can honesty say in three weeks there was not a single hiccup. We had a completely personalized safari staying at boutique camps, private houses, and lodges. We had great game drives twice a day and with Peter’s guiding skills, we had a unique sighting or experience every drive. His knowledge of culture as well as wildlife led to a truly immersive experience. If you are looking for a personified, not cookie cutter “off the shelf” safari, look no further! We are already starting to plan our return trip!

Unforgettable safari experience The far in advance booked lodges in many different parks were carefully selected and matched our budget perfectly. Also the complete course of the safari with all parks and extras was well organized. We could rely 100% on Peter. During the safari, he regularly asked if everything was ok, which is not a matter of course. Peter's collaboration with our guide Sylvester worked out great - perfect teamwork - and in these three and a half weeks we had indescribable experiences in nature and uniquely experienced the overwhelming beauty of Kenya. Peter and Sylvester both have a keen sense of the animals, nature and their guests. Friends on Safari lives up to its name - we traveled as friends with friends. FANTASTIC! Peter is a true gentleman and is now a good friend! We were recommended to Peter by a friend of ours and so thrilled with the way everything worked out! He learned about our interests ahead of time and completely catered our entire trip to what he learned about us. The accommodations he arranged were absolutely perfect and well within our budget, the Safari was beyond amazing and he even arranged for a brewery tour in Nairobi because he knew you we loved beer :-) we had requested a few special things such as going to David Sheldrick Wildlife Center and he easily arranged it all and we didn't have to do anything. At one point I wanted to buy something special for my husband and he did everything in his power to make that happen.

Terrific Guide and Friend Peter is prompt in responding to requests and so eager to show off his Kenya. He is keen in finding wildlife - we looked for lions for 8 hours and found them and spent 2 hours with them. Peter books day trips near Nairobi. So if you have a free day in Nairobi, he will be sure you see highlights. He also guides in many parks across Kenya. Peter is sweet and kind always making sure you are happy.
